With summer just around the corner, many people have already started with their exercise routine to show off the desired figure, but experts in the field as Barbara Trujillo Gomez recommend it is accompanied by a balanced diet made of honey, both our grandmothers used.
After all the food and desserts from the Christmas season, Valentine’s candy and other delicious and calorific cravings for food, many put to work to lose some kilos, which is important for maintaining a healthy weight and prevent diseases related with being overweight.
“What we need to understand and recognize that food is a good diet and exercise work together and without one you can not accomplish those goals that you have imposed,” said Trujillo Gomez, Cuban, and recalled that the best exercise, and with the weather improving, is to walk because it burns fat and helps the heart.
They can also do thirty minutes of exercise at home “and not have to be traveled.”
He noted that if a person goes to an hour in the gym but not losing weight, they have to assess what you are eating.
“Many people do not recognize you have to take a good diet: carbohydrates, lean meats, fruits, vegetables, fish and plenty of water, which is another gift that nature has done, you have to eat to eliminate toxins in the body “said the expert and trainer who recommended integrating the honey to the diet.
“Honey will most benefit, is a carbohydrate and a spoon is 600 grams, but has enzymes, vitamins, minerals, anti-inflammatory, has many benefits,” and among its many uses you can put honey to milk, unsweetened coffee, use it to dry hair, or a facial or heal a wound.
But he warned parents to not give honey to children under one year old.
“Staying healthy is for the rest of his life. There is no pill that saves lives, is to eat right and exercise. The body is the greatest gift given to us and why we are not going to care?” Said Trujillo Gomez, spokesman for the campaign “Energy Challenge Fitness and pure honey” of the National Honey.
“Losing weight is important, not only because the clothes are going well, but the cholesterol numbers by heart,” said Trujillo Gomez said it honey can be a great ally.
He added that the sign on page www.mielpura.org, the public will have access to an exercise routine, advice, a menu with honey (from breakfast to dinner) with a Latin flavor and more.
“You can eat rich but eliminate butter, you can still eat white rice but proportionate, eat more fish, vegetables. Carry diet is not synonymous with not eating,” he said, adding that it is important to monitor what children eat.
The site also includes tables of progress that will enable them to enter daily the exercises they do and thus keep track of their activities and achievements.
There are also three videos that show you step by step how to perform three different circuits of exercises.
The trainer, author of “Barbara by Back” – A Latin Woman’s Guide to Fitness, which shares more than 20 years of experience in fitness, nutrition and self-acceptance, also warned that it is unhealthy to lose more than two pounds per weeks.
Trujillo Gomez also serves as an active volunteer for the Heart Association of the United States and writes about health and beauty magazine Popular Hispanics.
